I’ve had more time than usual lately so I spent some time really thinking about what I wanted with my next career opportunity. It all comes down to wanting to do good work with good people. Sounds pretty simple and reasonable. One of the things I miss most about not having somewhere to go every morning is the collaboration with my colleagues. I am ready to develop plans, brainstorm and uncover solutions.
I have great experience, a Masters degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from KU and the desire to be challenged (in a positive way) daily. These are all desirable qualities to lead a communications function at any organization. I am a well-rounded communicator with b2b and b2c experience from both the client and agency side. If I got to fashion a scenario, I’d manage a corporate communications department stocked with other well-rounded communicators who do good work with good people every day.
I’m available to get together to talk opportunities anytime.

I’m a young public relations pro looking to get back to work and SOON! I loaded up on internships in school to complement my professional experience at the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and PlattForm Advertising.
Writing is my speciality, be it press releases, feature articles, op ed pieces, brochure copy and much, much more. I’m also proficient in graphic design, public speaking and even have some event planning experience.

I’m a relatively new PR professional. I was a reporter for roughly 8 years, I’ve been in the PR/Marketing/Communications business for just about a year. I bring one of the most unique perspectives you’ll find amongst job seekers. Why? Because I have zero preconceived notions of how to do my job.
As a reporter, I learned that getting locked into any one way of writing, interviewing, networking or any tactic conducive to doing my job was a one way ticket to failure. Adapting to what the story required taught me to be opened minded. Here’s the thing, PR/Marketing/Communications…this is not rocket science. It’s talking to people, understanding what they want/need and connecting your client to them.
I hope you are interested in talking to me, you have my assurances I’m interested in speaking with you! Find me on twitter at http://www.twitter.com/MattLaCasse or mattlacasse.wordpress.com

My name is Samantha Howsare, but I prefer to be called Sam. I am a senior and public relations major with a minor in English at Penn State University. I am graduating in May 2010 and can’t wait to land a job in the field of public relations. I have a true passion for PR and am very interested in social media, branding, crisis communications and media relations. However, as I discover more about the world of PR, I find that I like too many aspects of the profession to list them entirely.
In the past four years I’ve had a public relations internship with the Penn State Graduate School Office of Alumni and Public Relations, public relations/marketing internships with marketing agency Mr Youth and Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics, as well as a communications internship with a presidential campaign. All four of these positions gave me valuable experience that will help me excel in my PR career.
If given the opportunity to work in PR, I will give everything I have to becoming an effective and successful PR professional that contributes new ideas and outstanding work consistently. I promise that the person who hires me will not be disappointed.

Susan Mantey (@susan_mantey; smmantey@gmail.com; 614-507-8723)
I’m a respected internal and external communication strategist, a seasoned crisis communicator and a wicked-sharp editor. I’ve worked as a trade journalist and as a PR pro in healthcare, higher education, agency and technology areas. My No. 1 gift is for translating heavy-duty science into meaningful stories that I either write myself or pitch successfully to reporters.
My heritage began in agriculture. My first paying job, in the fifth grade, was on the family farm milking cows. Why do I tell you this? Because farming developed my baseline work ethic, commitment to getting the job done and an ability to find humor in any given situation. These are qualities that, to this day, I bring to everything I do.
My passions include animals, non-profits, healthcare, and crisis communications. I also have an interest is disaster response communications. BTW, I love traveling, gardening, college football, kayaking, the outdoors, art, languages, quilting and, most of all, interesting people.
I’m looking primarily for an in-house internal or external communications strategist position in the midwest.
Give me a call and ask about my strategy and media relations efforts surrounding a building implosion and my film debut as a chicken, which is definitely one of my best “other duties as assigned” stories!
