United breaks guitars, teaches us social media lesson
By Justin Goldsborough | July 17th, 2009
Hello, again. It’s been a few months since I’ve blogged, but Dave Carroll, his musical genius and United Airlines “turn-the-other-wayedness” have brought me back. Just with shorter posts.
Don’t need to say much here. The video speaks for itself. Just keep this in mind:
- USA Today circulation (best-selling U.S. newspaper) – 2.3 million
- Dave Carroll’s “United Breaks Guitars” video – more than 3.2 million views…so far
Oh, and two of the first four search results for United Airlines on Google refer to “United Breaks Guitars.” Sounds like some sour “Google juice” to me.
