    Walking in a widget wonderland

    By Justin Goldsborough | October 20th, 2008

Ok, so maybe it’s a little bit early to be making holiday references in headlines. But don’t let that stop you from checking out the new Sprint Mobile Broadband Web site with a variety of widgets that represent the gazillion good things you can access when you’re connected to the living, breathing Web.

Just like any Fortune 500 company, we spend a lot of time and energy discussing what we want our brand to be. Yet sometime, simple is better.

Take the second-hand story I heard about a recent Marketing meeting Dan Hesse set in on. Apparently after a lot of debate and idea exchange about how to shape the Sprint brand, Hesse said something like — In the end, I just want people to like our company.

I think our new widget site gets at just that. It’s a technology company doing something fun with technology and showing just how cool technology can be, especially via the speed of our network. And I think people will like that.

But don’t take my word for it. Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think.

      Hi Jason,

Kudos to the team (your team?) for putting this together. A fun way to remind people what we can do when we plug in. Plus love the voice.

      Best,
      Daria
